Range Rover Classic (Very Early) Sumo Bar Drag Link
are a heavy duty replacement steering bar for Land Rovers they are available for Defender/Disco1/Disco2/RRC, and Series.
29mm Heavy Duty Hollow bar that is accepted by the ALRC and AWDC as replacements due to there hollow design, they are made from specially selected CFS tube with a heavy duty wall thickness, this quality of steel provides a element of durability to take shocks but also has a high tensile strength.
SUMO BARS are well known for there strength and reliability in events across the world.
The internal bore is CNC machined out with a left hand and right hand thread so that standard Land Rover track rod ends can be used. The left and right had thread is easily identified with a grove machined around the bar to identify the right hand thread, both ends of the SUMO BAR have machined flats for ease of tightening the lock nuts to the bar.
All SUMO BARS come zinc coated.
SUMO BARS LOCK NUTS
The SUMO BAR lock nuts are full nuts (not like the cheaper copies which come with half nuts) this is for strength and security with less chance of rounding the lock nut whilst tightening, the full nut will help eliminate the track rod end thread from flexing when it is under strain.
A left and right hand lock nut comes supplied with every bar, the left and right had thread nuts are easily identified with a grove machined around the 6 points on the right hand thread nut.
Application & Notes
Use RTC5869 R/H thread T.R end
Use swan neck on drivers side
The swan neck is L/H thread.
Track rod end on passenger side only / drop arm ball joint on drivers side
