Flatdog Winch Blanket

A winch blanket is simply a must have safety item when winching and recovering. A winch blanket is designed to simply come into play and reduce the kinetic energy in the case of the wire / rope snapping when in use. <br> <br> The Flatdog winch blanket is designed and manufactured with this in mind. In an ideal world 2 blankets would be used on a vehicle to vehicle recovery placed 3-5m away from each vehicle. Weighing over 1KG the winch blanket also has a pocket built in to allow either storage of gloves/spare rope, or to add ballast depending on the recovery situation, however don't overload the pocket, more weight isn't necessarily safer. <br> <br> Incorporated into the safety in design aspect, the FD winch blanket includes reflective strips and a secure velcro fastening system.<br> <br> Most essential when using wire rope, winch blankets can also increase safety with kinetic ropes, webbings, winch extension strap and plasma ropes.
